Mengsel Design was founded by Luzelle van der Westhuizen who studied at Cape Town’s University of Technology. Now based in London, she is inspired by geometric and hand-drawn patterns, as well as African and Scandinavian design. Using traditional silkscreen printing methods, the result is colorful, bold and sometimes whimsical. Mengsel is the Dutch and Afrikaans word for mixture.
